God is in the details

Ideas are great, but ideas are not hard to come up with. The work of getting things done is in understanding and realizing the technical details.

Werner Heisenberg claimed on a radio show that, except for the details, he was close to a theory of everything. Wolfgang Pauli sent this to George Gamow in response:

‘This is to show the world, that I can paint like Titian. Only technical details are missing.’
